On
the eve of CA Day, celebrated on every 1st July, NIRC (Northern
India Regional Council) of ICAI has successfully conducted a program, namely ‘CA
Utsav’, aiming to share and exchange a sense of celebration and glory of the CA
profession among CAs, CA educators and CA students . The
program fetched an appealing participation of the people from the CA
fraternity.
Dr.
Harsh Vardan, Union Minister of Science and Technology, India was supposed to be chief guest, but however due to some reason, he was unable to make his presence
at the program. CA Dev Raja Reddy, President ICAI was the
chief guest for the program. Likewise, CA Nilesh Shivji, Vice-president ICAI,
various other ICAI central council members, NIRC officials were the
distinguished presence.
The
program’s first half was initiated by PS Rathore, Motivational speaker,
giving a motivational speech thereby helping the participants ignite their
self-confidence. In the second half of the program, cultural acts ranging
from singing to dancing entertained the audiences.
The
program was conducted mainly focusing CA students so they get a sense of relax
and relief from the daily hectic schedule and study, said CA Rajesh Sharma, ICAI
central council member, while exchanging a talk with CA Sarokar. He further
said, ”Ever since the establishment of CA professional body in the country, the
country is regularly getting a good grip on the economic development. Diverse sector ranging from services to
businesses have been benefited from this. CA’s contribution for the nations’
development is crucial”
Alike
ever before the program gets a good participation of Nepali CA and CA students
but this time it was low. Nepali
CA students; Diwakar Pandey, Pradip Sagar Rokaya, Sunil Budhathoki, Suman
Pandey, Rohit Gyanwali, Nabaraj Gautam, Nitesh Yadav, Madhav Neupane, Bigyan Regmi,
Dilip Thapa, Suman Gyanwali Sanjiv Siwakoti,
Sharad Tiwari and Manoj Singh, totalling 14 students were the co-ordinators for
the program.
Suman
Pandey, program co-ordinator, said, “Due to lack of proper advertisement and
information among students, the program didn’t receive a good participation.” Likewise, Diwakar Pandey, another co-ordinator cited the same reason for the
reduction in the number of Nepali students participation. He added, “The number of
student coming to India from Nepal has become low as compared to previous year.
May be that’s another reason for the low participation.”
Playing
the role of coordinator helps one to develop their interpersonal and management
skill”, said Nabaraj Gautam, program coordinator.
ICAI
ever since its establishment has been celebrating July 1 as ‘CA Day’, every
year.
